Another interesting aspect of the B-Runner is the way Balmain plays with textures. You start with a typical mesh surface that gradually transforms into a leather panel with grommets. What follows is a transition to a translucent layer and ends with a pleated heel section.
Two zippers – one on the tongue and the other on the heel collar – allow you to put it on easily. To secure it before a race, Balmain relies on an asymmetric lacing system. The zipper curves inward as you approach the big toe. Finally, the B-runner features a brand badge on the lateral side of the midsole.
