Kanye West and adidas unveil Yeezy shoes


New York Fashion Week and NBA All-Star game festivities collided in a sneaker event worthy of Kanye West and his first collaboration with Adidas.

Since leaving Nike for Adidas over a year ago, fans have waited patiently for the debut of Adidas’ Yeezy shoe. That wait ended with the suede, Boost technology, and a giant strap that combined to form the Yeezy Boost.

At a trendy New York reveal – which featured Jay Z, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Drake, P. Diddy and Kardashians galore – Kanye showed off the gray suede high top shoes with white Boost soles. cushioning as well as a clothing line, the Yeezy Season 1.

The sneakers offer a side zipper and laces, but both take place on the back of the oversized strap on the top of the sneaker. A few perforations at the front complete the design of the somewhat loose-fitting sneaker in the shape of a boot.

Kanye first hit the sneaker market with Nike, offering the Nike Air Yeezy in 2009, then the Nike Air Yeezy II in June 2012. After a public break with Nike, Kanye switched to Adidas.

The sneaker is the first to release via Adidas’ new Confirmed app, released in limited quantities first in New York on Saturday, February 14.

In the future, expect more from Kanye and Adidas, including woven low-top sneakers for men and suede stiletto heels and platform snow boots for women. What else would you expect? This is Yeezy’s world.
